My First Class One Paid Trip

After getting my class one shortly after Expo ended, I had the joy of doing my first paid trip as a class one operator. I took our 1966 Ford Cabover, single axle tractor from our yard at 11th and Boundary over to Main Street in North Vancouver to pick up an empty container and bring it back to the yard. Wow, the transmission on that old Ford felt like a salad bowl, finding the right gear was almost impossible, perfect for my first time on the road. Of course, it was raining and

the afternoon traffic across the Second Narrows was heavy and slow. Sure was nice to pull up, hook up, and get out of North Vancouver without any problems.
